This is NOT normal!! All other dogs I have had, never had this big of a problem. I'm desparate, what can I do?

I agree with trusport.

Go to naturapet.com for more information. They put out the best food on the market. Look at California Natural and Innova EVO. Absolutely the best. They also have a skin and coat supplement that works like a charm. I feed California Natural Lamb and Rice and give the supplement to my dog and have absolutely no complaints.

Wellness, Avoderm, Artemis are all good, check out their websites.

Read a book called "Foods Pets Die For" by Ann N Martin. You will be shocked and amazed at what they put into dog food. It is disgusting and it is making our pets sick.

Never feed Purina, Iams, and Science Diet. Read the book to find out why.

Sorry to say.. but it is normal.. I have a Welsh Corgi and I have never seen so much hair.. I grab handsfull of it and it just comes out.. I have to brush her daily or try to daily so I will not have so much hair in the house.. But Corgis are nice little doggies so I put up with it... THUS.. Yes, it is normal

My sister has a Corgi - I lived with her for a year and I can attest - this is normal. She would shed all over the floors to the extent that my sister's room basically had a carpet of fur over the carpet. I'm still finding Corgi fur in my stuff, a year and a half later. Sorry!

Try a premium brand dog food something with less additives and more natural ingredients.

Sorry hon, but your in it for the long haul. Corgi's are one of the most shedding dogs I've ever seen, and I've been a groomer for 18 years. There are a lot of products on the market that claim to slow down or end shedding, but NONE of them work, and it's a good thing they don't. Dogs need to shed. I only have one suggestion. This will get more hair out than any amount of brushing and save your arm from so much pain. Do you own a shop vac? If so clean it out and put the attachments in so it will blow instead of suck. Bath your pet using a good moisturizing shampoo and scrub with a zoom groom. This will grab an incredible amount of hair. Since it is summer, take your pet outside. Put the attachment from your vac close to the skin. If they are afraid of the noise you might leash them. As the hair starts to dry the power of the vac will blow hair out like crazy. Your neighbors will love it. This will cut your brushing time by about 80%. You can also use the zoom groom in between baths. It works on static electricity and really gets the hair out. You can also purchase a professional forced air blow dryer for about 150. from Pet Edge. I know that is a lot of money, but you will save money in the long run by not having to pay a professional like me 25. to 45. a month to do what you can do at home!!! Don't waste your money on the new Furminator! This blowout method works much better! The Furminator is a joke and is like going over your dog with a fine tooth comb. It would take you about a month! LOL! Sorry hon, but IT IS NORMAL!

Talk to your vet about his diet, that can effect the coat as well maybe he needs a fatty acid supplement.

My mom has a lab, and that thing sheds handfuls when he wags his tail, let alone when you actually touch him! No joke! They use a blade to get a lot of the hair out, but you could do it all day, and the hair just keeps coming. He loves it though!

Good luck!
