Im thykyn bout buying me a toy dog. Something energetic yet laid bk. Anyone have any ideas plz dnt say poodle?
MZCAPRI...have you considered looking at the local animal shelter for your next pet? There are a lot of dogs that are DYING for someone to care about them. You may find a small pet that someone was unable to keep for some reason. A dog that is already housebroken sounds like a deal to me. The prices will likely be cheaper than any kind of ?purebred found at a breeder. Many of the small breeds tend to be inbred and over bred, with resulting defects. Also many small dogs tend to be VERY energetic. That was what they were originally bred to be. Many small dogs were bred for a specific task (think rat terriers). Only recently have the genes been modified so that you can have an animal that fits in your purse. While considering your next pet, please think about the benefits of giving an abandoned animal a home. You will feel good about your decision each time you pet your rescued friend.

Boston bull terrier!
Thats my personal opinion. Try checking some sites that may have some info on dog personalities?

I have a maltese-chihuahua-shitzu cross and she is beautiful. Shes about 15 centermetres high and is very attached to me, although its probably hard to find a mix of those breeds! I love bichon frise, they are about 20 cms high. Pomeranians are cute, as are Papillons and Chihuahuas/ But the ultimate small dog is a toy maltese - They are gorgeous, we have three. :D They don't shed, are good warning dogs, very friendly and if rasied right they are good around children :D

you can check at the shelter...that would be the best, save a dog instead! there are plenty of great dogs there!
other than that... maltese, yorkie, coton de tulear, bichon, or teddybear(bichon and poodle i believe)
good luck

there are heaps of terriers about but the hair may bother you... chihuahuas... im guessing you dont like them either? a pug would be good... if you can like their face lol. google toy dog breeds. there would be rare ones if you wanted to search around and pay a little money for one..
