My dog has already blown her winter coat, now she is blowing her coat again. Does anyone know if this is normal for this type of dog? Her hair is everywhere and i have brushed her everyday for a week now and i am still brushing her. thanks

oh my gosh. I do have a newfie and its an on going battle. Daily combing will help but there has never been a day I did not vacume some fur off the floor. A good under coat comb is really great too. Its so frustrating I know but his personality makes it worth while. He's such a great companion.

if you ever watch late night tv they sell this thing called shedender it works great and it is fun for both owner and pet, so dont wory, and the brush will induce more hair to become loose. . .

We used to have 2 on our farm name Newfy 1 and Newfy 2. They seemed to shed 3-4 times per year. I was told it is natural depending on the type of work/excersize they do. Luckily ours were outside 90% of the time. We now have a St.Bernard and we shave her form April-October(we live in Phoenix)

Keep brushing her
It is normal for dogs of this breed to lose their winter coat early. Get a doggy jumper for her if she seems cold =)
As for the fur, you are just going to have to continue cleaning it up until the coat is fully shedded.
Hope i have helped

Yes, this is normal. You need to get a coat rake. It looks like a rake, but it's a comb that removes the dead hair from your dog's coat. Most pet shops carry them. I even saw them at my vet's office. Take care;~)

Try the furminator. I use this on my peke puppy to get his hair out and it works wonders!! It pulls the undercoat out way better than a shedding blade. You can get them at petsmart and places like that. My professional groomer even uses these tools.
