My 5 month female Boston Terrier puppy has a bold spot on her back (more to the rear). I spotted that about 2 weeks ago. It's not big, but it seems that her hair don't want to grow back (by the way, how fast does dog's hair grow?). We went to vet just before we saw this hairless spot and doctor said she is in excellent health.
What could be the reason? Will her fur grow back? What can I use so that the hair will grow back?
ps. I bath her once/twice a week.

Not sure of the reason(s), and if the fur will ever grow back, but I think a bath once/twice a week is too much. If a dog is not very dirty, they might only need a bath twice a month, in between, you can give them bath wipes.

skin problem?
Bold spot on my puppie's back.?
Don't bathe her quite so frequently - dogs' skin will dry out quickly that way. I bathe mine twice a MONTH, if that, and she has longer fur. It will probably grow back, don't worry. Is she chewing on it? Does there appear to be anything unusual on it?
As long as you're feeding her good food (not one you buy at the grocery store) and stop bathing her so frequently, she should be just fine. Sorry I don't know as much about the speed of dog fur growing. :)

dont bath her so much.
Bold spot on my puppie's back.?
Well it could be fleas and she is scratching her self and biting off the hair . You need to give her a bathe once a week or every two weeks . It's not good for their fur it looses it's oils and the dog can get dry skin ( which could also be a thing she has and that's why the bold spot )

if you use a soap of some kind ur dog might have a reaction to it. the hair will grow back but take ur dog back to the vet n get some cream for it
Bold spot on my puppie's back.?
I dont know if this will help but my dog had a small bald spot on the end of his body near his tail and i could find no reason for it he no fleas or red marks and he didnt seem to bite on it when i took him to the vet he said sometimes dogs get allergies like people from grass dirt pollen and other things he said to put baby oil or hydrcortisone cream on it for a week or so and see if it helped it did but it took about 2-3 weeks before the hair really started to grow back all the way

Don't bathe her unless she is dirty because it removes oil from the skin that might be the problem. Make sure that you are feeding the dog well and that she is hydrated and make sure that all of her bodily function are working well and if it doesn't clear up then call your veterinarian.
Good luck!

You bath her too much. Once every other week is fine.
I would take her to the vet and tell him how many baths he's been getting.
The bald spot could be fleas, hot spots etc. Take the dog to the vet to be sure.
Stop doing so many baths.
Bold spot on my puppie's back.?
if it has a kinda nasty smell to it, your dog licks it a lot, and is pinkish and fleshy (raw) looking, it could be ringworm
Bold spot on my puppie's back.?
Most likely it is from her biting her skin because it is dry and itchy. Reduce her baths to once every two weeks and if that doesn't work try reducing them to once a week. You could also try using a oatmeal and aloe shampoo which is best for dogs with dry skin. There are wipes you can get to clean off dirty spots between baths. Good Luck!!
