Dogs Preferences?

So I hate the looks of short dogs with short hair. Who agrees with me? I mean if you wanted a Paris Hilton dog than why not buy a freaken squirrel or cat? Sorry if i offend anyone but it's my opinion. I like dogs nice big n' fluffy. I had a great pyrenee and i have to say no one can say they had a better dog. He was big, fluffy, and the most sweetest dog everrr. No other dog could ever compare. And know I got a Alaskan Malamute and he's supposed to be pretty big too. Although Adorable this dog personality isn't half as sweet or nice as my old dog. But he is cuddly. And something my old dog didn't have that this new dog has is smarts and playfulness. So what are your preferences personality wise? What are your reasons? If you like a small dog then tell me why. I know that big and fluffy dogs need a lot more care, don't live as long, and give you a lot more cleaning but they're so much more lovable then those ugly dogs that might as well be rats.

I like all dogs, but I prefer Labs, I like big dogs, better for cuddling.

Smaller dogs have just entirely different personalities than bigger dogs, and some people prefer the 'macho' little dog to the 'dopey ' big dog. Some people are not physically comfortable handling 75+ lb dogs and would rather the 15 lb kind. I for one love MOST of both- the few breeds I -don't- care for is not based on size, but rather personality traits common within the breed. I have both big and little dogs, and love all dearly.

I agree, I prefer large dogs to the smaller "rat" dogs.

I love my big dogs! I have border collies and australian shepherds and they are awesome! I love their intensity to work and their drive to play.

This said, I do have a little dog, and she is JUST as intense and driven! She can do everything the big dogs do, she is just more "portable". Of course, little dogs think they are big. :-)

I have a mini toy french poodle, and she is the BEST dog ever. I have had her since I was 8, and I am turning 18 soon. Honestly, I dont think there is a best, because its like kids, yours is always going to be the best in your eyes, because its the one you raised, the one you love. Thats my point of view. btw, NO ONE calls my dog a RAT!!!

I am okay with the small dogs like corgis and JRTs, but i don't like the oversized rats.

I like big dogs! They are so much fun and so much more loveable than small dogs.

I like dogs that respond well to training and are at least moderately protective, but not mean. I've had many breeds ove the decades, and I like the working dogs best, then the terriers. Two of the best dogs I had were a Rottweiler and a Pit Bull. Neither my Pit, nor any of my Rotts ever hurt anyone! But, I had well bred dogs from conscientious breeders, and I TRAINED! I trained them for impulse control and instant obedience. That is a lot of time and energy. I didn't consider it work, because I loved doing it.

I train my grandkids now, so I am busy and I only have one dog that is much less demanding than a Rott or Pit. I have a very sweet tempered black Cane Corso. I asked the breeder for a lower energy, less protective dog, and she sold my exactly what I wanted. Stella weighs about 80-85 pounds. Everyone loves her. Except unannounced intruders!

Much to the dismay of the grandkids, I have ample time for them! I'm joking. They love me. Even as I do make them work hard and study a lot.
