Can you tell me what kind of dog this is?

Its my new puppy. When my boyfriend got him they said it was a toy poodle and he kinda looks like one since hair in his legs is really curly but the one in his back is kinda wavy. Is that how its supposed to look or is he something else?

Looks like a shih tzu cross in my opinion (could be with a maltese, poodle, etc to get the curly hair).

It looks like a Shih Tzu Poodle mix.

The coloring and the pushed in face remind me of a Shih Tzu. The curly hair is like a Poodle.

Looks like a mixed breed, with possibly some kind of Poodle in there. If you didn't buy from a reliable, reputable breeder, there's no guarantee you got what you paid for, if you bought him as a toy Poodle.

aww hes wicked cute, I guess im the only one who got to see him, But I cant really help you on that one, But he kinda looks like a yorkie. Thats just a guess though, He looks like my friends dog :)

Looks more like a shih tzu than a poodle. He could be a poodle mix.

He looks like some sort of mixed breed, he looks a little like our Shih tzu when she was little. He could be a poodle shih tzu mix, a poodle lahso apso mix or something like that. I would have to say one of those two breeds because his muzzle looks shorter than a poodle, a poodles muzzle is quite long and pointed. He is still cute though.

Looks like a mixed breed dog to me. May have some poodle in there but he looks more like a Pomeranian mix from the photos you posted. (maybe a Pom/Poodle mix)

The muzzle says "Yorkie mix" to me, so I'll go with Yorkie/Poodle mixed breed.

Well by the photo - it look like a cross between maybe a shitzu maltese/pomeranian or maybe cross between a pomeranian and or poodle.

I take it that there aren't any AKC registration papers with the pup. On it it would say Breed: then the kind of breed.

But With poodle pups their hair isn't mature intil they are 6 to 8 months old. They will have a more thin relaxed hair coat until that time. Then it begins turning into adult curlier hair. Make sure you start taking it to a groomer at 3 months, 2 weeks after it's last shot. It will need socializing and training there, and so will you so that it doesn't become tangled and need to be stripped....very stressful on the pup. Practice with a hairdryer on cool so that your pup will be mentally prepared for the grooming process.
