Call your local animal hospital!!! also, have you gotten all of the proper shots for your animal? does he have a pedigree?

Parvo is a disese that all pups are vacinated against, if you didn't get proper shots, parvo can kill a pup.

if you don't have a pedigree for your pure breed, there is a high possibility that your animal is a prodect of inbreeding. and like humans, may have brain defects.

also check the dogs food! is it on the recall list?

1. DONT let him eat weird things. if something is small enough to fit in his mouth, keep it away from him. If he is outside, keep an eye on him and dont allow him to eat anything you dont give him.

2. the hair loss can be from a million different things - take him to the VET.

Curious. When you say losing his hair are we talking bald spots? Here's one thought. If he is what they call a blue chi then it may be in his genes. This color carries the alopecia gene which =bald spots where there is blue hair. Especially if both parents were a blue chi. Another thought is if he is eating everything and losing hair you might inspect his stool for tapeworms. When was his last check up? The wormer they have at most stores is not for tapeworm. You need praziquantel more expensive but available at the pet store. Then keep him flea free with flea spray. Cause if he has fleas then he has tapeworms.

some dogs just eat gross/odd things. My lab loves to steal pens and silverware. He will eat any food item-rotten or not.

However i would be concerned about the hair loss. a common cause for hair loss in young dogs is demodectic mange.

4 months is around the time puppies start to loose puppy hair and regrow dog hair. If you don't think this sounds like what your baby has, get to a vet. lol
