Can I get out of my lease?

* Each tenant in our 4 bdrm house has a separate lease.

* On each lease, it says NO PETS

*Roomate brought a dog into our house, obviously against lease terms.

Three girls are pretty clean, the one with the dog is not. Nobody is EVER home so we have to leave NOTES to each other, and two girls are always the ones buying things for the "household" (cleaning supplies, etc.) Same two girls even bought couch covers, to help protect the couches, and to keep the unwanted dog hair off of them. Dog hair just gets all over the house. Constant cleaning! I did NOT sign up for this.

Yes I knew there would be multiple people living in one house, but I was under the assumption they would be CLEAN, because our landlord said he would do a thorough screening of each person before he let them live in the house.

My question is, can I get out of the lease because of the dog situation, and the constant cleaning, and being one of the only people who really care about how clean/healthy our house is?

Can I get out of my lease?

IF the lease states no pets, you can talk to the landlord about the individual with the dog, which will most likely result in either the person being evicted or the dog being forced out of the home. This will cause even more resentment within the home. If you use this as a reason to break your lease, it will most likely face the same situation, the person with the dog will be effect and most likely you will still be stuck in your lease.

Can I get out of my lease?

You can only ask. Keep it non-whining and business like.

Can I get out of my lease?

Is the landlord allowing the dog to be there despite the lease terms prohibiting dogs? If so, you can try to get out of your lease by arguing that the landlord is depriving you of "quiet enjoyment" of your rented property in violation of your agreement.

Can I get out of my lease?

Tell the Landlord either he evicts the dog owner or ou will not pa your rent. He has rights and you do too.

Can I get out of my lease?

No, but you can get either the roommate with dog booted out or just the dog, both of which will remedy the cleaning issues with dog hair. Just speak up to your landlord.

What kind of shampoo should I use to keep my maltese dog hair bright white?

very white, and what should I use for eyes boogers?

What kind of shampoo should I use to keep my maltese dog hair bright white?

When you do buy the dog shampoo, make sure it is either white or blue. Even better, get shampoo that specifies it is for white coats. Otherwise, your dog's fur will end up tinted whatever color the shampoo was, no matter how much you rinse. You're dog's fur could end up looking like an old lady's hair (all purpled tinted or something).

Here's what I use on my papillon to keep her white and bright:

http://www.petsmart.com/global/product_d...

(This is just what I happened to pick up at the store. There are many other "white-coat" shampoos, most of them work equally well, but do make sure it is specifically for white dogs, those will give you the best results.)

For eye boogers, I would recommend giving your dog spring water instead of tap water. This cuts down on tearing a lot. Use a wet wash cloth to clean off existing tears. If water alone doesn't work, you can buy products that are specifically to clean tears and eye goobers. Here is a helpful section on maltese tearing: http://www.bhejei.com/tearsta.htm

What kind of shampoo should I use to keep my maltese dog hair bright white?

There is a type of horse shampoo that brings out white... not sure if they have the same things for dogs, lol! Ask your groomer, he or she will definitely know. And for the eye boogs, I just use a damp cloth to wipe them out. For stains though, again, ask your groomer... Don't use bleach, that could be harmful, but I'm sure there is some sort of diluted solution out there somewhere. Good luck!

What kind of shampoo should I use to keep my maltese dog hair bright white?

i use j%26amp;j baby shampoo,works great

What kind of shampoo should I use to keep my maltese dog hair bright white?

We used some stuff called sno glo,got it at pet smart, works great, eye boogs, scissors and patience. Keep the hair around the eyes trimmed often, that should keep them from building up.

What kind of shampoo should I use to keep my maltese dog hair bright white?

You might consider some pet products that are free of harsh chemicals. Life's Abundance offers some good ones. http://www.healthypetnet.com/HealthyPetN... Sorry the link is so long, that is the direct link to the dog care products.

What kind of shampoo should I use to keep my maltese dog hair bright white?

There's a shampoo called Perfect White, it works really well.

For the eye **** try the eye swabs listed in the bottom link.

Hope this helped!

What kind of shampoo should I use to keep my maltese dog hair bright white?

I am looking for the best vacuum cleaner for picking up dog hair but can also be used on wood and ti

I have an Oreck vacuum cleaner and it works well picking up cat hair on my carpets and laminate in the kitchen. It can also be used on wood and tile floors without scratching the floor. They are lightweight, also, with a strong motor.

I couldn't live without my Rainbow! Best I have ever used on carpets and wood floors and linoleum floors and tile floors, especially with dog and cat fur...very expensive but worth every penny...but even better on wood and tile floors is a dry head Swiffer Mop! I love mine terribly!!

Hello Donna, I have to say I find the Dyson one of the best hoovers I have ever had, I live in Spain and in most houses and flat楹搒 there is only tiled flooring a wood floors, %26amp; a lot of rugs so they are very good for everything , dust pet hair楹搒 My daughter borrowed my hoover ,she has a dog and she could楹搕 believe how good it was they even used it to clean the car , and went out the same day and bought one, I have to say I found it a bit hard to use when I first got it , but now would楹搕 be without it so I would suggest a Dyson

Try the wet and dry vac.

I am looking for the best vacuum cleaner for picking up dog hair but can also be used on wood and tile floors?

A commercial vacuum is the best to buy. You will have to find a store that sells them. Not a department store. They will cost about 200.00 to 250.00 but are worth every penny. Buy a bagless that is easily emptied and you don't have to buy bags all the time. As far as a name brand let the store help you with that.

Good Luck.

I am looking for the best vacuum cleaner for picking up dog hair but can also be used on wood and tile floors?

Vacuum cleaners are not good for wood and tile floors, since the beater bar can damage the floor. There is a cordless rechargeable vacuum made by shark that works well for picking up dog hair on all floor surfaces. The beater bar does not turn as quickly as an electric vacuum so it does not damage the flooring.

I am looking for the best vacuum cleaner for picking up dog hair but can also be used on wood and tile floors?

The Roomba (a robotic vacuum) is a great choice for people with pets...and has the bonus of turning it on and letting it go...while you're at work, etc. Like any good vacuum cleaner, it's pricey, but no bags to buy, and no heavy thing to lug around!

Dyson makes the dc17 animal which is great for pet hair. It is also designed for easy transition from carpets to hard floor. Won't damage wood or tile floors. There's a full write up at http://vacuum-better.com/dyson-dc17-revi...

Do you know any website's where I can find dog hair dye?

Ebay, of course. But I've heard that dyeing your dog is best left to the professionals and really only works if your dog is already a light color, i.e white or tan. Perhaps you should consult a local groomer.

Oh, there's a dye called Vivid Colors by a company called PetEsthe, but I'm not sure how available their products are in the U.S.

Do you know any website's where I can find dog hair dye?

okay first of all tell me why you want to dye the dog?!?! and then ill give you an answer!!!

Do you know any website's where I can find dog hair dye?

The only safe hair color for pets is food coloring. It washes off and wears off. The others are dangerous to their SKIN.

Do you know any website's where I can find dog hair dye?

why are you going to dye your dogs hair? He'll die of embaressment!!!!

Do you know any website's where I can find dog hair dye?

Don't dye your dog. It is cruel.... PETA came down hard on Kelly Osbourne for dying her bulldog bright pink.

Do you know any website's where I can find dog hair dye?

Use easter egg colors - they are food safe, which would be better than a chemical dye. I've a friend who dyes their white cat at easter with them... The cat is patient and doesn't move around, so if I were you, I'd consider doing it outside with a dog to at least protect your household surfaces.

What is the absolute best vacuum cleaner to pick up dog hair?

I have dark red carpet, ceramic tile and hardwood floor in my home. I use swiffer when I can, but every vacuum I get is worn out and starts to clog up and smell within a few months. Granted, I've bought the Bissels, Hoovers and Dirt Devils, but I need something that works but isn't the cost of a small car!

What is the absolute best vacuum cleaner to pick up dog hair?

Try to find a carpet rake - it looks like a giant plastic comb on a mop handle - and rake the hair off the carpet before vacuuming. I think I paid less than 10.00 for mine, but I can't remember where I bought it. It works great - I have four cats and five dogs, who all shed like crazy, and I don't know what I would do if I didn't have this thing.

Dampen a sponge or even your hand and the hair will just roll up.

Was this rude?

I was supposed to go over to the home of a friend from church for dinner. But when I talked to her this morning on the phone, she asked me if I could do one favor for her: "Could you brush off all that dog hair off of you?" To me, it was very rude of her to say that. I have 4 dogs, including one with long white hair that does shed. But I do have a lint brush that I use before I go out, and I do my best to brush off any dog hair; however both the brush and I aren't perfect and therefore unable to remove EVERY single strand of hair. I don't go out with a grotesque amount of hair on me, but yes there are still a few. I backed out of going to the dinner after she made that comment to me. Am I crazy, or was she incredibly rude?

Was this rude?

rude but a lot of people are not pet people so to another non-pet lover, they would not think rude; if that is the importance level, it tells you something; I would rather eat alone at home with my dogs then be a guest at a table with people who are full of themselves; that is why a dog is unconditional love! you have 4 enjoy them and that says a lot about you; she is missing out on your company - tough for her ; don't let ignorant people ruin your spirit!!

Was this rude?

I don't understand why some people can't stand to hear the straight up truth.

You could be thankful that you have a friend that will tell you how it is, and keep it real with you. Report It

Was this rude?

Well, maybe she was concerned with hygiene or allergies

Was this rude?

Wearing your dog's fur is not such a good idea. Since you have all of those dogs, you should make an effort to "de-fur" yourself. Maybe your friend is allergic to the fur (I am); perhaps she doesn't want it on her furniture, in her house, etc.

Was this rude?

It was rude, IF that is all she said. She might possibly be allergic, or maybe some of her family members are. She probably asked you to because of that.... Or she could just be a *****. Who knows

Was this rude?

Sounds like a serious B*TCH if you ask me.

Was this rude?

I think she could have posed her question differently; perhaps in a more sensitive manner.

That being said, she may have a legitimate reason for asking, say a child with severe allergies.

If you're good enough friends to have dinner together, you should explain to her that your feelings were hurt and give her a chance to explain her comments.

Was this rude?

it depends if she is allergic to dogs. that is something reasonable to say if you are allergic to dogs. if not then that was sort of rude. especially if she has dogs of her own.

Was this rude?

I agree with you!!! There is a lot nicer ways to say to that a "friend". and if she thought you were always covered with dog hair, then she did not have to invite you in the first place. That was just beyotchy.

Was this rude?

I think she was very rude and should not have spoken to you in that way. Get a better friend, you don't need friends like that

Was this rude?

Sorry I would have said the same thing. She is just being a friend and tryen to help you out.

Was this rude?

R.U.D.E.

Was this rude?

Yes that wus very rude of her! and if i were u i would have done the same and backed out as well.

Was this rude?

I don't think it was the most tactful thing to say but I don't think it was rude.

If it was an issue for her and you two are good enough friends I think it was good for her to bring it to your attention rather than avoiding you or cancelling plans as a result.

I think you should let her know that your feelings were hurt and reschedule your dinner plans.

Was this rude?

She was not rude she told you what was on her mind at least she was honest I rather some one tell me the truth then laugh and

smile in my face and lie. sounds like a friend to me

Was this rude?

She is not a pet owner I would think ( I am )

I could care less if you came over with a sweater made of dog fur

Having said that, I am sure when you leave her place bits of fur do get left behind ( booo hooo ).

Personally, I am just happy that people I invite over are gracious enough to accept and show up.

Was this rude?

she was very rude and you were right not to go after that comment....she made it sound like you were a piece of trash...how mean is that?

Was this rude?

yea sounded a little rude to me too.

Was this rude?

There are dog people, and there are not dog people. I have two long haired dogs, and a cat. I keep a lint brush on my deck, so when I try to remove hair, I am in contact with no new hairs waiting to latch on.. no matter how many times I go over myself, there is always still a few hairs. I would have done the same thing that you did. My motto is "Love Me, Love My Pets". And yes, I think she was extremely rude.

Was this rude?

SHE IS SO rude!!but try to talk to her nicely -.-"

Was this rude?

Yes, she was very rude. Has she recently had a stroke?

Was this rude?

That was rude of her to say that, but you shouldn't of backed

away. You should of came early and corrected her. You should

of said, "You know I do try hard to get all this hair off,and you

should know that everyone and everything is not perfect." "I'm

am not a slob." "You are very rude, you need to be grateful I am even hear or speaking to you!!"

Was this rude?

Well I don't think you are crazy, just a bit too sensitive about this. What got to you the most? Was it her voice? Her tone? Her choice of words? I don't think it was rude of her to ask, but it sounds as though she might have been having a problem as to just how she was going to ask you to do something in a way that would not offend you, yet she felt that she couldn't just explain herself in a way that was honest, sincere, %26amp; NOT rude. Perhaps her real issue lies in her distaste of dirt in her home %26amp; health issues from the pet hair. Many people who have never had indoor pets don't know how to deal with hair that could carry flea eggs %26amp; germs with them %26amp; since the mere thought of even touching these "germy" hairs can make some people panic %26amp; vomit, it would seem valid to them, yet not to the pet owner/guest! I think that you just MAY be turning a molehill into a mountain. This woman DID invite you, so she must enjoy your company. I hope you at least called her to cancel %26amp; didn't retalliate by just being a "no-show" for the dinner. Perhaps you could ASK her about the left over dog hairs on your last visit, as you just may have left MORE than you realize, or she could just have problems with "phobias". Perhaps she once had a beloved pet %26amp; the hairs make her sad because she remembers her companion that is no longer with her. If you aren't willing to go the extra mile, then you should just "let-it-go" before you end up running from everything %26amp; everyone in your life. If you go to Church, then I assume that you are familiar with a little thing called "prayer"? Those pet hairs can make or break your day if you let them!

Was this rude?

Well you said she was your friend! The old saying"Better to hear it from a friend than a stranger." I don't understand her asking you over to her house if it bothered her that much? Think about that!

Was this rude?

I agree completely with John. She likes you enough to ask you over again EVEN THOUGH she (or someone who is advising her or badmouthing you to her) has a problem with the hair. She may be trying to stick up for you to someone, and hopes you'll arrive fuzz-free to make it easier for her to defend you. You never know for sure.

I say you give her the benefit of the doubt, and talk to her about it. And try to be gentle, so you don't start up an argument! Good luck!

Was this rude?

If you indeed don't have more than a few hairs on you, then yes she's either phobic or rude. It is possible she has a friend/family member with allergies who comes over frequently (even if she isn't allergic, I'm sure you don't know all of her other friends %26amp; neighbors) but if that's the case, why didn't she just said so??? People who have pets sometimes have a few hairs on 'm, no big deal.

Was this rude?

If you went over there before, you probably had dog hair on you last time which got on her furniture. My husband has a cousin who every time he comes over has mud all over his feet and won't take his shoes off. I have never asked him to, but I really have wanted to. It probably was a little rude, but she probably really likes you and wants to be around you, but the hair might be a little overwhelming for her. Maybe it was her way to tell you that you have a hair problem (for your own good.).

How can you live in hair filth anyway? That is discusting to have 4 dogs in a house! Gross, if you want that many animals, you might try living in the country so they don't have to be inside with you!
